Founded in Diversity
Consistent commitment to diversity comes naturally to a firm founded by women attorneys. As the first female owned partnership in the City of Chicago, L&G Law Group understands the strength that comes with diversity. Since its inception over 23 years ago, L&G Law Group has remained committed to building a diverse, inclusive workplace, inspired by the notion that our firm should reflect not only the diversity of the world we live in but also the clients we represent. The firm has welcomed partners, associates and support staff of all religions, races, sexual orientations and cultural backgrounds.
At L&G Law Group , diversity is not viewed through one metric. Instead, the firm believes that the more diverse our team, the stronger our creativity and service to our clients. To that end, the firm is committed to not only recruiting individuals from all walks of life but, more importantly, to helping those individuals succeed and thrive in a supportive environment.
Our Diversity Committee reflects the diverse attorneys at L&G Law Group as well as the diversity of our clients and community. The Diversity Committee focuses on not only strengthening the internal fabric of the firm but also expanding firm diversity initiatives to address the community at large. The firm lends its support to many groups including VOWS (Veterans of Wall Street), an organization committed to helping recruit and employ veterans, Equality Illinois, an organization committed to supporting LGBTQ issues, Lawyers’ Lend a Hand, an organization committed to tutoring low income students, Lawyers’ Committee For Better Housing, an organization that provides pro bono legal services to low income residents, and the Association of Corporate Counsels’ Diversity Internship Program.
We are committed to providing excellent legal service and high quality representation the firm was founded upon, and supporting our diverse group of attorneys is key to fulfilling that goal.
At L&G Law Group , LLP, we embrace all aspects of diversity and consider inclusion to be an essential component of our business operations. We believe that having a robust supplier diversity initiative creates sustainable economic development in the communities where we live and work. It is also an integral part of good corporate citizenship which contributes to the firm’s growth and positions us to better support our clients. Where possible, we establish strategic partnerships with minority-owned, women-owned, LGBTQ-owned, disabled and veteran owned enterprises.
