Autumn Sharp is an experienced attorney with a practice focusing on advising employer clients with their employment law related needs. Autumn’s client representation spans Fortune 500 companies to single member LLCs. Autumn represents and advises employers regarding all aspects of labor and employment law issues, including issues arising under the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, the Illinois Human Rights Act, the NLRA, and analogous state and local laws. Autumn counsels clients on day-to-day labor and employment law issues, keeping abreast of developments and changes in employment law to provide up-to-date advice to clients with regard to hiring, disciplinary action, and termination; restrictive covenants; sexual and discriminatory harassment; wage, hour, and pay equity issues; reasonable accommodations; and union and collective bargaining negotiations. Autumn successfully represents clients in employment-related litigation from case assessment through resolution, including trials, mediations, settlement negotiations, and appeals, before agencies and courts in jurisdictions across the nation. In addition, Autumn has regularly presented on diversity and inclusion issues and pay equity issues, and has provided sexual and discriminatory harassment compliance training.
Autumn is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Autumn was selected as an Illinois Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars from 2011-2013.
Autumn is a member of the board of directors of Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth, a Chicago-area program that works to promote one-on-one mentoring and tutoring in disadvantaged communities by awarding annual grants to local programs, recruiting volunteers from the legal profession, providing professional development and other capacity building assistance to partner mentoring programs, and hosting its own tutoring/mentoring program in partnership with the Montessori School of Englewood. Autumn also serves as Chair of the Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth Programming Committee.
