Marla Izbicky is a trial attorney who concentrates her practice on representing hospitals, physicians, and healthcare providers in complex medical malpractice litigation. Ms. Izbicky is involved in all stages of litigation, including motion practice, written and oral discovery, pre-trial and mediation hearings, and jury trials. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
Prior to joining L&G Law Group , Ms. Izbicky’s practice focused on medical malpractice defense for hospitals and physicians. Ms. Izbicky is an active member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois and is a chair of the Civil Litigation Committee. She is also a mentor through the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago, and is a member of the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society (CHRMS).
Ms. Izbicky received her Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While at Cardozo, Ms. Izbicky was an Articles Editor for the Arts and Entertainment Law Journal and her note, “A Legislative Pendency Proposal to Address the Consumer Harm Caused by the Broken Retransmission System,” was published in that same journal. Ms. Izbicky was a finalist in the Langfan Oratorical Competition at Cardozo. She also served as a Research Assistant to Professor Marci A. Hamilton. Prior to law school, Ms. Izbicky attended Brandeis University, where she graduated cum laude, with honors.
