Chicago corporate law firm L&G Law Group advised client Tata International Metals Americas, a division of Tata International Limited (and member of the Tata Group, which includes a 2014 Fortune Global 500 Company), on the recently announced (effective on February 1, 2015) complex commercial transaction between Tata International Metals Americas and Totem Steel International.  The L&G Law Group team was led by Chicago partners Jerry Haberkorn and Edgar Reilly.  Following this transaction, Totem Steel International will continue its operations as Tata International Metals Americas.  The business deal brings together two of the largest players in the international steel trading and distribution space.  The transaction required an innovative structure to satisfy the needs of both parties and close coordination with international business partners for the successful conclusion of deal.
