Ms. Brochmann’s civil litigation practice focuses on both commercial litigation and medical malpractice defense. Prior to joining Lowis and Gellen, she served for 10 years as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney. Ms. Brochmann has tried over 50 criminal bench and jury trials. Her extensive appellate experience includes two arguments before the Illinois Supreme Court and numerous appearances before the First District Appellate Court.
Professional Activities
Ms. Brochmann is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, and the Appellate Lawyer’s Association.
Education
Ms. Brochmann holds a Bachelor of Science, with distinction, in Human Development from Cornell University. She then received her J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. While in law school, she interned in the Consumer Frauds Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General, clerked for the New York State Court of Claims, and was co-editor-in-chief of the Buffalo Human Rights Law Review
