Ms. Stochel focuses her practice in Labor & Employment Law and regularly works with individuals and corporations to defend against claims made by employees. Ms. Stochel engages in additional practice areas such as commercial and banking litigation, creditors’ rights, and corporate disputes. Her experience includes appellate practice, commercial real estate foreclosure and collection proceedings, contract disputes, and business tort litigation. Prior to joining L&G Law Group LLP, Ms. Stochel worked as an Export Compliance Manager for Black River Technology, Inc. where she navigated licensing regimes under the United States Department of Commerce, State Department, Department of Energy, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Before attending law school, Ms. Stochel pursued both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Acting. With this background, Ms. Stochel has a skillset and confidence that is unique to the field of law. Ms. Stochel’s classical training translates naturally to the world of litigation, and she has a talent for oral arguments and trial work. Ms. Stochel keeps up with her acting career through teaching, volunteering, and mentoring young actors through several organizations. She is additionally involved in other socially-responsible organizations such as the Lesbian & Gay Bar Association of Chicago.
