On September 29, Pam Gellen organized, moderated and participated in a well-received panel presentation and discussion for a Chicago area hospital. The topic was Available Privileges for Documents in Illinois Medical Malpractice Litigation.
The panel addressed areas including attorney/client and insurer/insured privilege, the Illinois Medical Studies Act, the Illinois Credentialing Act, the Federal Health Care Quality Improvement Act (HCQIA), and the Federal Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act (PSQIA).

We are happy to announce Lee Williams as the new managing partner of the healthcare department. Chief Operating Officer (COO)
We welcome Robert H. Smith as he rejoins L&G Law Group LLP as Chief Operating Officer. Bob has successfully led our firm’s finances and effectively developed business strategy in the past; we are excited that he is pleased to rejoin the firm in this capacity. As COO, he will engage in the firm’s administrative and operational functions involving the finances of the business. He will also help design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures, goal-setting, and promoting the firm’s culture, values, vision, and mission.
