Eric R. Lifvendahl concentrates in broad commercial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide, handling breach of contract, violations of non-competition agreements, employment law issues, fraud, antitrust violations representing direct action plaintiffs, accounting and legal malpractice, construction defects, and securities law violations, and more.

Mr. Lifvendahl has successfully argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Illinois Appellate court. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Lifvendahl was a criminal prosecutor for seven years at the Cook County State’s Attorney Office where he tried numerous jury and bench trials.

Litigation

One of his most notable victories is a $49.7 million jury verdict for his client, Buck Leiter, for breach of contract in Florida state court which was the 3rd largest verdict in Florida and No. 42 on the Nation Law Journal top 100 verdicts in 2018.
Mr. Lifvendahl is currently representing businesses that fell victim to price-fixing schemes and other antitrust violations in cases in Chicago and California federal court, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.
