Mr. Peterson represents clients in a broad range of credit and insolvency related matters, including all aspects of creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Peterson has represented secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, commercial landlords, indenture trustees, debtors, and other participants in litigation, bankruptcy and workout matters.
Experience includes:
• Representing significant parties in all elements of corporate restructuring transactions
• Representing official committees of unsecured creditors, seeking to obtain best possible recovery by scrutinizing proposed asset dispositions and plan provisions, analyzing perfection of Article 9 liens and mortgages, and monitoring claims allowance process
• Assisting secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases by preparing proofs of claim, drafting reclamation demands, filing applications for allowance of claims for 20-day goods, and defending client’s liens against challenges
• Defending and settling preference actions, including analysis of applicable defenses
• Representing receiver in SEC receivership
• Representing lenders in connection with workouts of troubled loans
• Litigating in state and federal courts
Prior to joining L&G Law Group LLP, Mr. Peterson worked at an Am Law 100 firm, where he focused on assisting creditors and corporate bond trustees in major bankruptcy cases.
