Mr. McManaman concentrates his practice on civil litigation, representing private businesses and governmental entities. He has significant experience with employment related litigation, including claims based on federal and state anti-discrimination statutes, employment contracts and non-competition agreements. He also regularly handles complex commercial matters involving contract disputes, business tort claims, shareholder actions and civil rights claims. He has been a member of the trial bar for the federal court in Chicago since 1999.

Mr. McManaman also regularly advises clients on various employment issues, including the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts, personnel manuals and employee handbooks. He counsels employers on termination and disciplinary decisions as well as the handling of internal complaints before they become lawsuits.

Before coming to L&G Law Group , Mr. McManaman served for six years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, where he represented government officials in complex litigation.

Professional Activities

Outside of the office, Mr. McManaman is actively involved in the Chicago Bar Association and has served as an instructor for Loyola Law School’s Comparative Trial Advocacy Program in London, England.

Education

Mr. McManaman earned his B.A. in Economics from Indiana University in 1992 and studied abroad in Rome, Italy. He graduated from Loyola University-Chicago School of Law in 1996.
