Mr. Jeffrey concentrates his practice on banking, real estate and certain corporate matters. He has represented bank clients on multiple and complex loan transactions, including Industrial Revenue Bonds, loans to fund ESOPs, real estate construction loans and asset-based loans. He also has broad-based experience in the loan workout and collection arena.
Mr. Jeffrey has conducted seminars and training sessions in a range of banking law areas, including compliance issues, bank regulatory issues, loan workout scenarios and all types of specialized loan transactions. He co-authored the standardized commercial loan documentation manual including the loan documents and the legal references section for US Ameribancs and NBD Illinois banks. In 2004, Mr. Jeffrey was recognized as one of the region’s top lawyers in Banking & Financial Institutions Law through the Leading Lawyers Network.
Mr. Jeffrey received a B.S. from the University of Illinois and was awarded his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1974. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, where he is the former Chairman of the Financial Institutions Committee.
