Mr. Peckham has over twenty-five years of complex litigation experience and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial, transactional and financial litigation and counseling. His experience includes state and federal practice, temporary and preliminary injunctions, bench and jury trials, appeals and private mediation and arbitration.
Mr. Peckham’s experience in commercial and transactional litigation includes representation of individuals, officers, directors and private and publicly traded companies in actions involving professional liability, director and officer liability, shareholder and partnership disputes, corporate governance, fiduciary responsibilities, valuations, executive compensation, contract and asset purchase disputes, transactional warranties, and fraud and business torts, including unfair competition, trade secret and restrictive covenant violations.
Prior to affiliating with L&G Law Group LLP, Mr. Peckham was a partner with Seyfarth Shaw LLP in Chicago where he was a member of the commercial litigation group.
Professional Activities
Mr. Peckham is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. He is also admitted to the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association and American Bar Association.
Education
Mr. Peckham is a 1987 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1984.
