Veronica Nulman specializes in acting as Underwriters’ Representative for healthcare insurers and reinsurers, with regard to a variety of U.S. healthcare risk exposures, with particular emphasis on hospital system liability. In this capacity, Ms. Nulman conducts claims and systems reviews of clients’ insureds’, claims reviews of healthcare entities, including analysis of loss data, provision of recommendations regarding reserves and potential risk exposure, and coverage issues. Ms. Nulman’s experience also includes acting as Underwriters’ representative for insurers of design professionals, attorneys, and retirement benefits professionals, which involves managing claims, overseeing defense counsel, and negotiating settlements. Prior to focusing her practice on healthcare insurance, Ms. Nulman litigated cases on a broad range of matters, including multidistrict latex tort cases, warehousing, and transportation law.
Ms. Nulman is a 1995 graduate of Northwestern University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history and international studies, and a 1998 graduate of Boston University School of Law, where she was a note editor for the Boston University International Law Journal. Ms. Nulman is licensed to practice in the states of Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, as well as by the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Ms. Nulman is also a member of the American Bar Association.
